Essential Responsibilities
The Human Resources Clerk, under the direction of the Human Resource Manager, is responsible for support with the administration of the day-to-day operations of the human resources functions and duties.  The Human Resources clerk carries out responsibilities in some or all of the following functional areas: departmental development, HRMS, employee relations, training and development, benefits, compensation, organization development, executive administration, and employment.
Specific Responsibilities
  • Recruiting and staffing logistics;
  • Performance management and improvement tracking systems;
  • New hire orientation and employee training logistics and recordkeeping;
  • Assisting with employee relations and newly eligible benefits orientation
  • Company employee communications;
  • Employee safety, welfare, wellness, and health reporting; and maintaining employee files and the HR filing system.
  • Assisting with the day-to-day efficient operation of the HR office.
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in the HR field or equivalent education with administrative experience.  
  • Modern office practices, procedures, and equipment
  • AA or BA in Business Administration a plus
  • Ability to work under minimum supervision while working in a team-oriented environment
  • Basic computer skills with experience in Microsoft Office programs
  • Ability to work under pressure under strict deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills using tact, patience and courtesy
Must be able to:
  • Carry, pull and push up to 25 pounds of dead weight
  • Climb up and down a ladder
  • Sit, stand stoop, kneel, squat, crouch and or crawl 
  • Twist or turn in confined spaces
