Budget Analyst;
 
  1. Prepare department budget reports with project manager and monitoring of spending in accordance with budget.
  2. Analyze financial documents for executive and managerial employees.
  3. Assist management in analyzing proposed financial plans and find plan alternatives if the projected results are unsatisfactory.
  4. Provide advice and technical assistance with cost analysis, fiscal allocation and budget preparation;
  5. Estimate department’s future financial needs.
  6. Direct the preparation of regular and special budget reports.
  7. Analyze monthly department budgeting and account reports to maintain expenditure controls.
  8. Summarize budgets and submit recommendations for approval or disapproval of funds requests.
  9. Review operating budgets to analyze trends affecting budget needs.
  10. Consult with department and project managers to ensure that budget adjustments are made in accordance with program changes.
  11. Compile and analyze accounting records and other data to determine the financial resources required to implement a program.
  12. Perform cost-benefit analyses to compare operating programs, review financial requests, or explore alternative financing methods.
  13. Interpret budget directives and establish polices for carrying out directives.
